Gregorys Coffee — 485 Lexington
485 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10017, USA
Editor's Review
Gregorys Coffee is the shop that every New Yorker likely recognizes for its trademark logo, a clever graphic treatment of founder Gregory Zamfotis' trademark fabulous hair and thick specs – look closer, and you'll see they're really two coffee mugs. This location serves as the perfect quick pick-me-up nearby bustling Grand Central Terminal, as its quarters are limited to a few bar stools and constricted standing space.
Gregorys exudes a subtly health-conscious vibe, making wellness something you can experience on the go, whether you're grabbing one of their housemade "mylks" filled with ingredients like raw cacao and turmeric or powering up with a smoothie. As for the coffee, the cafe provides its own supply of roasts, and you can choose from a few different beans for a nifty AeroPress or grab a cold brew and drip to go. For nourishment, the cafe provides a "lite bites" menu of a few small toasts and yogurt, plus a good stock of housemade pastries and salads in the fridge. Almond and soy are the non-dairy alternatives.
