With an empire of New York locations, you've probably seen Gregorys' iconic glasses – the trademark depiction of the founder's coffee-cup spectacles and impressive hairdo – all over Manhattan. Gregorys Coffee, who roasts and bakes their own supply of beans and pastries, makes craft coffee and healthy treats something that you can experience on the go. From a stacked menu of protein smoothies to housemade "mylks" of almond milks flavored with different nutritional ingredients (chocolate milk is made with medjool dates, pink Himalayan salt, maca, and raw cacao), Gregorys subtly exudes a health-conscious vibe that makes it easy to avoid the coffee-pastry diet – though there's plenty of that, too.

As for its coffee, feel free to indulge in a variety of brews, whether you want to keep it simple with espresso-milk beverages (almond and soy are the non-dairy alternatives), a cold brew, or three different single origin AeroPresses. Like many Gregorys Coffee locations, the Broad Street spot is an unpretentious mix of sophisticated black and grey accents paired with rustic woods that make for an inviting space. With bar seating and few tables, it may serve more as a grab-and-go destination for the Financial District employees it serves, but if you can find a place to perch, you'll have a great view of the coffee science at hand.
