Guld Cafe

Eastmansvägen 10, 113 61 Stockholm, Sweden

Editor's Review

Cafes attached to museums are not always a voluntary destination in the speciality coffee world but Guld cafe is an exception. A shiny and sleek glass box embedded in the outside of the Sven-Harrys art museum in Vasaparken in the northern part of Central Stockholm. This is unmistakably a speciality cafe and looks and feels like it might be a restaurant.

Guld cafe serve seasonal coffees from Morgon coffee roasters, from Gothenburg on both espresso and filter coffee options. Espresso drinks are served from a smart black La Marzocco and filter coffee comes in the form of a well brewed batch brew or a hand brewed coffee of something else from Morgon. Food is a must here, with a selection of fika options along with a delightful and creative menu range of bigger savory options such as salad bowls and sandwiches prepared in the visible kitchen space. Take a look at their Instagram feed to see for yourself the quality and presentation of their dishes.

Sat in a lovely park in Vasastan, which is normally found filled with kids playing football in the summer and ice skating in the winter, this beautiful glass box embossed with gold lettering is on the corner of the Sven-Harrys art museum. Marble surfaces with gold features and well placed plants provide a kit out that feels very high quality and the high ceiling allows for the hustle and bustle of the cafe to not feel too deafening.
