Set inside the iconic strand arcade, Gumption's green tiling, brass canisters, and professional service would evoke a feeling of those opulent "old world" coffee shops if it weren't for the two top-of-the-line espresso machines on the bench.

Here, takeaways roll out smoothly for the masses but special coffee options are plentiful - try the espresso and tonic!

Coffee Alchemy are the mothership behind this outpost - a small and highly respected coffee roaster out of Marrickville. It's hard to find their coffee done this good anywhere else so take the chance while you can. You can take a seat out in the arcade and window-shop to your heart's content.
