Everybody loves 46b Espresso Hut in Homerton. You don’t get nicer folks than Dom and Eva. Now they’re opened a second coffeeshop in East Village E20. 46b is known for great food as well as coffee and I once bought the best figs I ever tasted there (imported from Greece). Eva’s Greek heritage comes to the fore at Hand where chef Vassilis and her have created a great Greek influenced menu. Coffee is from Square Mile and superbly made, whether espresso based or filters from the Moccamaster.

Hand are passionate about what they do.  As for the name,  as Dom says, everything worthwhile has passed through a hand, and that focus on handwrought craft – whether it’s quality Greek wine, special quality food ingredients or coffee is what makes this place special whether you come for breakfast,  brunch, lunch, meze, dinner, Greek pastries or just coffee or special Greek teas. As for wine, Hand sell only Greek wines from indigenous grape varieties.
