Happy Bones
394 Broome St, New York, NY 10013

Editor's Review
Fun fact: this cafe used to be a walk-in refrigerator. At Happy Bones, you'll want to grab something hot just to snap an Insta-worthy picture of your beverage here – brightly printed blue and black paper cups are adorned with whimsical doodles of "happy bones" in homage to this small yet uncluttered cafe. In a tour-de-force of combining both artsy industrial chic and warmth, this space lands in Manhattan from New Zealand, and fills a welcome niche in Soho's landscape for those who seek a sunny window, a cortado, and a friendly face.
Seating's spare, but not impossible, and in fact you're encouraged to pause – alongside art books and journals to purchase are pages to leaf through while you drink a graciously prepared Counter Culture brew (where soy, almond, and oat milk are the non-dairy alternatives). Take a look above and feel the sun drench your skin through the ceiling skylight while enjoying a pastry from local and trusty NYC bakeries. Can't get enough? Their roaster's training lab is just down the street. Happy Bones is a perfect stop on your Soho tour.
