Industry Beans has now opened up in what’s becoming coffee alley down Little Collins St., bringing their own brand of speciality roast from Fitzroy into central Melbourne. In a different concept for the area, Industry Beans have set up the space with the main focus squared on the La Marzocco ModBar, to maintain a minimalistic look – there's nothing between you and the staff, just a countertop and the process of your coffee being made. It’s impressive and innovative. Minimal wooden seating skirt the premise in an otherwise all white and clean interior that helps break up and calibrate your sights from the city outside. In a great step towards less waste and a generally sustainable approach, everything is paperless across the bar and kitchen; packaging is sustainably sourced and fully compostable.

The Rose Street Blend is available for milky drinks and a weekly rotation of single origin for black, including batch brew for consistent filter. Of note though, and something very different, is one of their signature cold drinks, the bubble cup – Coffee Tapioca Pearls, vanilla convoy and Cold Drip, in a couple of flavours of course. They also offer cold brews, and bagels and salad bowls round out a wide-ranging menu.
