Le Peloton Café
17 Rue du Pont Louis-Philippe, 75004 Paris, France
Editor's Review
Le Peloton serves good coffee, alternating more or less weekly between Belleville and Coutume, but there's more to this place than just coffee. As one might be expected to guess from the same, Le Peloton is one of a handful of bike cafés in Paris, and certainly the best.
As well as serving coffee, there is craft beer brewed in Paris by La Parisienne and La Goutte d'Or, and a menu with a smattering of food options, which is set to grow in late 2017. TOat milk is available as a dairy alternative.
There is limited seating at a few tables and an old-style wooden bar, but people tend to come to go – the café organises excellent bike tours all around Paris, concentrating on the back streets to give visitors a tour of the real Paris, as locals know it, rather than the tourist spots. But whether you are imbibing pre-ride, or stopping by for a longer experience, Le Peloton is well worth a visit.
