Lovecrumbs
155 West Port, Edinburgh EH3 9DP, UK
Editor's Review
You’ll know which one Lovecrumbs is when you walk past it – it’s the one with the people sat in the window, on big cushions, legs pulled to their knees, like they’re in an American high school study room. I have walked past Lovecrumbs many times, it is almost always busy, and these window seats are always taken – the people of Edinburgh love this place.
And with good reason. Lovecrumbs make some of the best cakes in the city – just check out their highly beautiful Instagram account if you want more proof. Their flavours change seasonally, with some regulars on rotation. Coffee comes from Edinburgh based roastery Obadiah Collective, who’ve been making a name for themselves since launching in 2015.
Lovecrumbs is the archetypal modern cafe, with mismatched furniture, an independent attitude, a focus on local produce, and a unique, Pinteresty decor. It manages to create this look whilst still being warm, friendly, and the kind of place you could stay for a few hours. If you see those window seats come available, better grab them quick.
