Market Lane’s City store sits atop Collins St on the bit known as the Paris end. The setting, building design, and location are classic, elegant Melbourne. The front facing outdoor seating area, surrounding buildings, overhanging trees that outline and decorate the road, and landscape and lighting are all very reminiscent of a European square. Had it not been for Melbourne’s iconic trams gliding into your line of sight, you’d think you were somewhere there.

Inside is just as convincing. Of course, being Market Lane, their consistency lies not only in great coffee but the high standard of customer service synonymous with the brand. There are always several filter choices (up to four) to showcase various profiles brewed only via v60, a solid classic on house blend for milk, and a clean single origin for blacks. 

As much pride as they take in their coffee and customer service, they also hold high standards on what more than 80% of customers add to their coffee, milk. They’ll happily tell you it’s organically and locally sourced from Schulz Dairy Farm to ensure highest quality milk, enhancing already refined notes with creamy sweetness for a sweet tactile feel.

Grab a drink, have a chat and sit anywhere inside or out for a great time – hint: outside on non-windy days is superb.
