Milk & Honey Cafe
1119 Newkirk Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11230
Editor's Review
This fairly recent addition to the expanding (in conceptual size and popularity both) neighborhood of Ditmas Park brings a darling, open-air community feel to its coffee service. Also offering food and an olde-style soda fountain, take in the myriad charms of Milk & Honey from one of the open-air seats alongside the roll-up doors along Newkirk Ave, or from a seat near the living plant wall. Their pastries, salads, and sandwiches are often Mediterranean-themed, and explore thoughtful and inventive combinations—try the pistachio croissant!—or be wowed by the turmeric latte or other specialty drinks.
Fun aside, their approach to coffee is serious and no-none sense, the friendly staff preparing Counter Culture Coffee drinks on great equipment— their beautiful Slayer machine is a vision to behold, and was one of the first in the city.
