Neighbourhood Speciality coffee
16 Buckingham St, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia
Editor's Review
At a smidge less than 10 square metres, Neighbourhood may be small, but it punches well above its weight. Sneak in to one of the three inside stools for view of the action behind the machine and a chat with the baristas, or perch outside on the bench and enjoy the vibes on this bustling Surry Hills St. Roll in when the boss is running the espresso machine and you’ll quickly see why Sean McManus is such a loved and respected part of the Sydney coffee scene.
Whilst you can grab a cheeky pastry, it’s the coffee you need to visit for. On recent visit Colombia Matambo was delivering massive sweetness and flavours of chocolate and hazelnut in milk. There is an ever changing roster of single origins from Artificer, roasted for filter but brewed for both batch and espresso.
For the non coffee drinkers, The Weiss hot chocolate is pretty special, especially with the house made oat milk.
