Nobletree — World Trade Center
185 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10006, USA
Editor's Review
For a walk-up operation, Brooklyn-based, Brazilian-owned Nobletree Coffee's World Trade Center space is an impressive force. Modern interior design accents like wooden and mirror panels matched with two sleek white Modbars stations make this cafe a sight to behold upon entering its small quarters. Despite seeing the coffee roaster on display, don't be fooled – the machine serves as an impressive piece of decor, as Nobletree roasting operations are conducted across the river in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
In the midst of the WTC's foot traffic, Nobletree exists as primarily a to-go coffee spot, with a simple espresso-milk menu (whose non-dairy alternatives are soy, oat, and almond milk) and brewed coffee. Quick salads and yogurts encourage a speedier transaction, along with sweet pastries provided by New York's Padoca Bakery. If you do have an extra few minutes, grab one of the few stools at the limited bar seating centered around the roaster and wait for a pour-over – this is where options amplify, with several different single origin roasts to choose from.
