Sibiu is known for its beauty and friendliness. Fortunately, there is also great coffee to be had this café/car on Piata Mica, suiting the relaxed atmosphere on this square in the historic centre of the Upper Town. Coffee is roast superbly in Brasov by Croitoria de Cafea (Coffee tailors) and Nod take a great deal of care to ensure it is well made. It’s wonderful to see speciality coffee of this quality in Sibiu.

The Nod Pub opens late, and unlike many other evening venues, maintains high standards of coffee at all hours, serving drinks on a customised wooden tray. They also serve excellent sandwiches and desserts (made by chef Nicolai). The artisanal beers, hot chocolate, loose leaf teas, cocktails and house-made fresh lemonade are also recommended. This is a perfect spot to relax and take time, whether in the large outdoor seating space (watching the world go by or socialising) or in the cosy indoor space, decorated with clever cocktail flowchart diagrams. Open till 1am.
