Novi is a bar and restaurant first and foremost; a place for coffee second.  We think they're worth listing, though, as the coffee is good and it's important to recognise places that aren't just cafés succeeding with coffee. It's certainly rare to find a restaurant or bar with SCA accreditation, as Novi has.

Located squarely along what is obviously Cambridge's designated nightlife strip, among the usual suspects of UK towns, Novi is pleasingly differentiated from its neighbours. An ultra-friendly welcome, long window bar to enjoy coffee without "taking up a table," and a large hatch through to a bustling kitchen make you feel okay about stopping in and saying "we just want a coffee."

Coffee is from the local-ish Frank and Ernest - there's filter on the menu but unfortuantely not in stock for our visit.  The Simonelli machine stands proudly, but, most excitingly, is a Nitro coffee tap alongside the beer taps.
