Onna Café
Carrer de Santa Teresa, 1, 08012 Barcelona, Spain
Editor's Review
The Avinguda Diagonal runs slash-like through the middle of Barcelona and just north of it, on the tiny, sloping Carrer de Santa Teresa, sits Onna. The café is at the south end of the trendy, interesting Vila de Gracia area, a must for foodies and shoppers alike, and Onna are just another reason to check out what is probably the hippest area in Barcelona.
The coffee comes from their own micro-roastery, located in the basement of the café itself, and they have a good range of blends and single origins to drink or buy for home-brewing, with handy info guides for each roast to explain origins and tasting notes. The staff are friendly and welcoming; the venue itself has a casual feel, slightly cluttered in the front area and with a back room with additional seating, plants, and a huge flavour wheel on the wall. They do good toasted sandwiches, as well as cakes and pastries, and, unusually for cafés here, have functioning WiFi!
