Oslo Coffee Roasters — Northside Store
133-B Roebling St., Brooklyn, NY
Editor's Review
Don't be fooled by this roaster's name, for Oslo Coffee actually hails from Brooklyn, where the shop's Williamsburg flagship has been around since 2002. Behind its massive iron-glass doors you'll be surprised to find a simple and modest operation inside. With a spacious interior and solid red and white walls, this spot is a low key, quiet getaway just around the corner from bustling Bedford Avenue. Paintings and illustrations from local artists are on display and rotate on the regular, and a sparse set of houseplants gives this place life. Think of it as a cozy corner cafe to catch up with a friend or work on your next screenplay in silence.
Oslo keeps things just as modest on the menu – a simple drip/espresso menu is to-the-point, and a small selection of pastries are provided by Ceci-Cela and Blue Sky Bakery (non-dairy options include soy and hemp milk). On Thursdays expect a rotating single origin offering. For simply good coffee, Oslo is honest and reliable.
