Founded in 2014 by a small group of industry veterans, roaster-retailer Paramo Coffee’s flagship location is hidden away in the strip-mall-like Embarcadero Center. The center is bordered by the Financial District, a hotel, and the Ferry Building. 

Most of the clientele arrive from the nearby office buildings, stopping in only to grab a cup to go. The café itself is designed for efficiency. The right door is designated as the entrance, leading into the cash register, while moving to the left takes you to the exit door. For those who like to stick around and enjoy their cup, bar stools at the window are available, as well as the building’s benches for public use. 

The space is small, so be prepared to take your drink to go. If you need a snack, Paramo offers pastries for a variety of dietary restrictions and a cold case of juice shots that can get you energized. Stop in for a drink or snack and head over to the Ferry Building for some ocean views.
