Parkette – which sits just kitty-corner from the park itself – is an essential stop in the vibrant, bustling neighborhood of Sunset Park. The roomy, rustic space has one large table in the back, plus a clutch of small round-top tables that are a real draw for the laptop crowd, and a row of stools at the window counter with a view of the park and the bustling multicultural retail scene on 5th Ave. There's also plenty of room for strollers and a simple exposed brick-and-marble-bistro-tables aesthetic.

Grab a Stumptown coffee from the friendly, laid back staff, and pair with a treat from Colson Patisserie, Patisserie Vanessa, Dough Doughnuts, or a fresh bagel; all are available throughout the day. It's a neighborhood spot, but you don't have to be a local to enjoy their fine coffee and treats.
