Picnic Coffee
9 Saracen St, Bath BA1, UK
Editor's Review
Picnic Coffee is a lovely, friendly café a few minutes' walk from Bath's main shopping street (and a one minute walk from Magalleria on Broad Street, an absolutely superb magazine shop). Serving gluten-free and vegan cakes and locally made sandwiches, Picnic has an emphasis on high quality, hand-made products to accompany the great coffee. They also serve locally-made spirits for those tempted to tipple, rather than have a coffee.
Picnic has lots of comfortable seating inside, including a sofa, and is decorated with local artists' work; the overall impression is warm and welcoming, a place to sit and relax and read. The staff embody this atmosphere and are chatty and happy to answer questions about everything from the coffee to the hand-carved wooden owls on display.
Soya, almond, and oat milk are all available as dairy alternatives.
