This Astoria café aims to deliver the goods and then some, and deliver it does to this characteristically busy section of Queens. Thoughtfully crafted, Brooklyn-roasted, Joe coffees can be paired with a full menu of local-ingredient-sourced dishes, from burgers to sandwiches to egg plates, or innovative pastries baked right on-site.

Pull up a chair at one of the front windows and look onto busy 31st Street, or enjoy a little more space at a rough-hewn communal wooden table full of diligent workers and neighborhood dwellers. In a borough that seems to have everything, Queens certainly deserves more spaces like QWNS Cafe.
