When booming Southern coffee chain Revelator began rolling out shops from Louisiana to South Carolina to Massachusetts, Georgia was a no-brainer territory for their expansion plan. In 2017, the Alabama-based business acquired Atlanta's Octane Coffee, a small chain and roastery whose largest café in Grant Park shares an enviable space with Little Tart Bakeshop. 

The Grant Park Revelator is among the first of the rebranded Octanes, and retains a specialty look & feel with a slightly more mainstream approach to coffee geekdom and presentation. The café remains a fine place to while away mornings over a gougère while enjoying an espresso beverage and doing some hardcore people-watching.
