136 Regents Park Rd, Primrose Hill, NW1 8Xl
Tom Burdon and Yulia Davidenko were living in Primrose Hill and looking for a location to open a cafe when it occurred to them that the answer was right in front of them. Ripe Kitchen, a bright, busy cafe smack in the middle of Primrose Hill, serves Square Mile coffee, their own blends of loose leaf tea, organic sourdough breads, and fresh homemade simple food.
There is an emphasis on healthy foods and the staff make most things from scratch but they also use local suppliers such as Seven Seeded Bakery. The salads and sandwiches are very good and the tea selection is particularly impressive. It’s great to see coffee and tea taken this seriously in Primrose Hill.
The coffee is often prepared by Lilly, a barista formerly of Notes, Flat White and Milk Bar. Ripe are using Square Mile’s Red Brick espresso and plan to introduce a guest espresso soon as well. Reverse osmosis filtration is in place to ensure water quality.
