Saint Frank’s clean aesthetics with natural wood paneling and hexagon tile makes this long and narrow flagship location on Russian Hill feel both spacious and cozy. One of the first things you’ll notice upon walking in is that there’s no espresso machine or grinder blocking the customers’ views—baristas have clean sightlines down the space as they pull shots on a custom-built machine hidden beneath the counter. 

Saint Frank takes pride in quality work and relationships throughout the coffee value chain. The company has sent baristas (including founder Kevin Bohlin) to many competitons and returned with awards. A step further, they make it a priority to visit the producers they purchase from so the coffee is given full justice when it’s roasted at their Mission St. location. Their flight selection comes highly recommended—you’re presented with a tray of espresso, espresso with milk, filter coffee, and iced coffee, showcasing the best of the local roaster's offerings.
