This two-floor, warehouse styled cafe is Sightglass’ flagship location. Many of the roaster-retailers’ operations are housed here: roasting, wholesale packaging, cupping lab, and offices. 

Sightglass Coffee began in 2009 as a cart in San Francisco’s SoMA neighborhood, serving Chemex brews and espresso in front of the current cafe. It was founded by two brothers who later on expanded the company into the warehouse. The company is aptly named after the small “sightglass” window on the front of the vintage Probat roaster, offering the person roasting a view into the coffee’s green-to-brown transformation. On the first floor, you’ll find a spacious U-shaped coffee bar that serves their full selection of espresso drinks and pour-overs. Head above to the mezzanine for an affogato bar with espresso that can be slowly poured over your chosen Salt & Straw ice cream.
