Skittle Lane Coffee
40 King St, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia
Editor's Review
The old-world charm of Skittle Ln, its cobble stone floors, gold sign trimmings, and high brick walls, lead the path down to Skittle Lane Coffee. You could say a modern speakeasy of the coffee world, although it’s a secret not that well-hidden, for your own fortune. People pouring out into the lobby and laneway during the day and a line to order that’s constantly flowing. But don’t be dispelled, good tunes, good vibes, impeccable service and efficiency, easily the best way to start your morning before heading into work.
It’s one of the places you can easily have several coffees of different variety and inherently notice the difference, such is the quality of roast, brew, retail, and bites. Quality all round.
The large heritage, including original windows from the 1840’s, emphasise and capture the energy from the customers and staff alike. The stadium seating and design influenced in ways that don’t feel like a formal or traditional café but rather somewhere to relax, unwind, and take full advantage of those beautiful windows watching Sydney pass by outside.
