Small Batch Coffee Stand
47 Trafalgar St, Brighton BN1 4ED, UK
Editor's Review
This small but attractive coffee cart is based outside Brighton station, welcoming visitors with a decent coffee and serving commuters catching the trains to London. Self-service batch brew filter is a great boon to those running late and a selection of pastries are available for second breakfasts. If only all train stations had a coffee cart like this!
Small Batch helped revolutionise Brighton coffee. Roasting since 2007, they, together with Taylor St (who had a coffeeshop in Brighton from 2010 to 2015) and Redroaster (since 2000) have been central to the growing demand for speciality coffee in Brighton. Small Batch are a major part of the reason Brighton residents were said to spend more on coffee than any other city. They run nine locations in Brighton, Hove, Portslade and Worthing.
