Spring Espresso has firmly established itself as one of York's best coffee spots. Its increase in popularity allowed the birth of a second sister site in the city centre in 2017.

The newer Fossgate café is less than a ten minute work from the original Lendal branch, providing quality coffee and food in two distinctive locations, in between the picturesque River Ouse and River Foss.

The Lendal café has a stripped back and minimalist interior style, which allows for a relaxed break from the main hustle of the area, but it is still one of the main thoroughfares through the city centre, so you are never far from the buzz of York.

Their food menu is also varied and excellent, with both breakfast and brunch served all day, fresh pastries and cakes, as well as inventive twists including Marmite toast and coconut 'power' porridge, for those looking for a health kick.
