The Attic Gallery Coffee Bar
2 Kings Square, York YO1 8BH, UK
Editor's Review
The Attic Gallery Coffee Bar, has become something of a coffee lovers 'in the know' venue in the heart of of York city centre. Located up a windy staircase on the third floor of a converted town house, in King's Square, it is partnered with specialist tea house, Harlequin, which is on the ground floor.
The partnership ensures that all of your caffeine fixes are catered for in one place, whether you are a regular customer or a passing visitor en route to one of the nearby tourist attractions - including York Minster and the Yorkshire Museum.
Due to its lofty location, it does seem to miss some of the passing coffee trade. However, this has also meant that those who do know about this little nook, just a little off the beaten track, are able to enjoy a coffee and a book in calming surroundings with an impressive view of the city.
