The stylish suburb of Newmarket is home to the cute, cobbled side street of Osborne Lane, which houses an eclectic trove of chic boutique shops and eateries.    

No confectionary in this candy shop. Massive blocks of super slick, polished concrete and industrial brick walls are softened with a wooden ceiling and potted plants. Plenty of seating, some shoulder to shoulder with the kitchen, which is almost dwarfed by the overhanging extractor fan, ready to spring into action once the lunch orders start coming in, the menu has a strong Korean theme.  

This place is more of an eatery than a café but that doesn't mean you don't get a great coffee. Although there’s not a huge pastry/cake selection if that’s what you’re after.  The two ultra-cool baristas hold court behind the large chrome Synesso, stacked with grey crockery. They roast their own single origin Colombian and boy is it good in a flat white. Not for sale as yet but we hear they are working on it.  

A small covered outdoor area is good for alfresco coffee. Toilets are a walk around the corner (and you’ll need the code).
