It may be small, but the Commons punches well above its weight in terms of what it offers: a full slate of hot and cold coffee drinks (from a macchiato to a matcha latte), teas and spritzers, beer and wine, and the three most beautiful words in the English language: breakfast all day. Add salads and sandwiches for both meat-eaters and vegetarians, and a few Aussie-style toasts, and a cozy set of seating out front, and you can understand how it’s become such a well-liked community gathering spot.

Convenient to both the Rubin Museum of Art and a Chelsea gallery crawl (though note the hours here: open both earlier and later and weekdays than on weekends).
