The Hood Paris
80 Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud, 75011 Paris, France
Editor's Review
Stepping in to The Hood is like taking a time machine back to the 70s. Though not in terms of coffee. There's a main bar tiled in orangey-brown tiles, green Formica tables, lots of retro furniture, and if you prefer something a little grander, there's a regal looking staircase.
Their special is a capuchin, which is effectively a flat white; presumably this is to do with the source of the cappuccino drink. Regardless, it's made extremely well.
At the front of the store is where the coffee is made (and you can choose your cake) and you can see the food being prepped at the back in the kitchen. The staff are knowledgeable and greet you with a friendly smile and are happy to help. There's table service if you stay in. It's a wonderful to place to sit and have coffee.
