Melbourne’s The Penny Drop began as a little coffee pop-up in Box Hill, making coffee for commuters before transforming into an all day restaurant and coffee shop with a distinctive design aesthetic. Now Melbourne has arrived in London, in Fitzrovia to be precise. The London Penny Drop is a small but perfectly formed café with top notch coffee and a very distinct sense of style. The branding and design is next-level for London and is by Melbourne’s Pop & Pac, inspired by the Australian cafes location at the base of the Australian Tax Office Building (The Penny Drop).

There’s a friendly staff team and coffee is taken very seriously, brewing coffee from Union Coffee Roasters as espresso and a range of filter options. Don’t miss The Penny Drop’s own selection of drinks such as their cold brew with tonic which is a must-try. Food options include sandwiches, pastries, cakes and biscuits and masala chai is from Prana Chai. The Penny Drop are open weekdays only.
