The Reformatory Caffeine Lab
17-51 Foveaux St, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia
Editor's Review
Probably one of the most epic walls of art you’ll encounter in a café, a collaboration between a Melbourne Street Artist, commissioned by the owner, a lover of comics, to depict a story (revolving around coffee of course) along the length of the store wall. It’s fantastic and a great piece of work. Even the grinders have some serious lines on them.
Reformatory Lab specialises in filters and brews - if you can't tell from the equipment list - and take it in a serious and engaging way. They have every brewing method available and feature degustation showcases, perfect to be able to sit, drink your coffee, and continue to turn around and admire/read the art work present behind you.
They work very closely with 90+ coffees to bring in some of the best green beans in the world, competition level coffee where you can expect clarity and a delicateness in your cup. Providing you with precise detail and a knowledgeable experience for your senses.
