Townhouse is a little further out of the city centre than other independent coffee shops in Preston, but the extra 5-10 minute walk is worth it. Based on Friargate, Townhouse is close to the main sights to see in Preston, so it's an ideal stopping point.

Split across two levels, it offers a calm respite away from the bustle of the city and traffic. The décor is a Scandi-inspired simple set-up, with the coffee served up by informed baristas. Alongside the coffee, they also serve a selection of homemade cakes, as well as an extensive lunch menu, available until 3pm; including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options for diners.

Townhouse also offers a dedicated meeting and event space on the first floor, available for provate hire, as well as monthly events in the café. Including coffee making workshops and specialised menu events.
