Two Chaps
122 Chapel St, Marrickville NSW 2204, Australia
Editor's Review
An all encompassing venue, their website best describes ‘a from-scratch café and bakery with a sustainable approach to all aspects it’s operation.’ You can also find some great little nuggets on the website about the ethos of Two Chaps, but, it’s quite evident upon first glance, you’re getting fresh made, local produce with the utmost of care taken in preparation of all your delicacies.
It’s an all vegetarian seasonal menu but curiously different to what you’d expect. The venue, an open warehouse/garage that feels cozy and comfortable when you sit, yet spacious when you stand to browse and shop the produce of ferments, pickles, and spices along the shelves. They’re stacked with self made condiments to take home with you and enjoy, even their cold drinks are experimental and fermented, balanced like a cocktail.
The coffee comes from local roasters Micro Lot, who have an approach of having really light single origins and slightly darker than normal blends for milk, it’s a cool place to hang out and spend some time.
