The Urban Tea Rooms on Soho’s Kingly Street is a shabby chic café serving, as the name indicates, a good selections of teas, coffee and cakes. There is also a decent range of sandwiches and salads on offer, making it a good spot for a light lunch if you’re shopping on nearby Oxford or Regent Street.

If you’re in the mood for something a little stronger, there’s also a licenced bar selling wine, spirits and beers, and the friendly staff will pep your coffee up with a shot of Baileys should you be in the mood. The ground floor space is fairly compact but the basement has plenty of table seating suitable for groups. Outside, there is a small number of tables and chairs providing a prime spot for people-watching.
