On arrival, it seems an unusual place to situate a café but once inside it's clear to see why Waterloo Tea have chosen the spot for their newest venture. It's a great interior with red brick walls and large windows that let in loads of light. Pale blue an light yellows help to give Waterloo Tea, Lakeside a comfortable and positive feel. 

You might expect somewhere famed for its tea to have less knowledge about their coffee but this was not so. A polite and warm suggestion to best enjoy the AeroPress without milk showed their care for a quality product. The coffee was well made and the tea was fantastic. The highlight of the café was the food: fresh, unfussy, and full of flavour. 

This new venue is definitely worth a visit for many reasons. It cares about what it's doing, the products are great and the staff are warm and welcoming. It's not in a central location but there's plenty of parking around so there's really no excuse!
