Woodcat Coffee has been proudly serving the Echo Park neighborhood since 2014, a café mainstay for its friendly owners (who you'll likely see pulling shots themselves) and its cozy space on one of the busier blocks of Sunset Boulevard. The name comes from a Scottish nickname for a hare, and this husband-wife team Janine and Sadaat Awan found inspiration from the song "Woodcat" by Tunng.

Every element of the shop conveys the personal touch of the Awans, from its handbuilt interiors of wood block chairs to bright red walls to the music that surrounds. In this buzzing, busy café, you'll find ample seating and WiFi, along with a reliable menu of both coffee and non-coffee beverages, from espresso-milk classics to a few sweeter specialty beverages.

Complete with a whimsical rabbit logo on takeaway cups and a myriad of houseplants, you've easily found your new home in Echo Park.
