Wrecking Ball Coffee Roasters
2271 Union St, San Francisco, CA 94123, USA
Editor's Review
Partners in both life and business, owners and industry veterans Trish Rothgeb and Nicholas Cho founded Wrecking Ball first as a roaster, then as a retailer. The café found a permanent home in Cow Hollow, alongside locally owned boutiques and eateries, which opened in 2014. An intimate space with very limited seating, customers like to pose on the benches for a #pineappleselfie, featuring pineapple wallpaper by Hygge & West's Rifle Paper Company.
Wrecking Ball’s counter extends from the espresso machine to the main attraction: the pour-over brew bar. A design that’s inspired similar brew bars around the world, its custom-built, stainless steel tray features inset Acaia scales and Cho’s own dripper invention, the December Dripper. If you’re not feeling up for a pour-over, try one of their seasonal selections. And in case you’re wondering—the company was named before the famous Miley Cyrus song.
