The Roasting Party
Who: Founders Kirby Sinclair, Wesley Cusick & Ed Cutcliffe
Since when: 2013
Why: Built on passion for production, friendships and trust - the heart of The Roasting Party is something incredible. We admire how they promote strong relationships with traders and pooling knowledge to strategically select high-quality green coffee, which complements their unique roasting style. They also have a hands on approach to all their customers.
What's the story:
The three founders have decades of experience working alongside each other in the Australian specialty coffee market. In particular, at The Little Marionette. This well-known Sydney coffee roaster is the place where Kirby and Wesley honed their coffee skills to perfection, before taking the leap to strike out on their own: The Roasting Party was created.
Sustainability credentials: The Roasting Party strive to keep an ecological balance with their operations from South and Central America to East Africa and South East Asia, also to maintain the quality of social life.
Their sustainability mission is to respect the environment, so they’ve developed packaging solutions that have zero impact on the environment. From biodegradable takeaway cups and lids and supporting reusable cups; they are committed to the future of the coffee industry.
Our favourite coffee:
The Roasting Party - Drake Espresso Coffee Beans
Like the mallard gliding elegantly, slick and controlled, yet unexpectedly dense and complex under the surface. This is a super smooth coffee with tasting notes of honey, roasted hazelnut and cocoa
