This Beautiful Addiction
An addiction to caffeine is one we all share here. But for those of us immersed in the world of speciality coffee, the addiction is as much to the obsessive quest for great coffee. Film Maker Jason Breckenridge has harnessed this beautiful addiction for the subject of this documentary series. Jason visited national and world barista championships for four years and interviewed many of the competitors and archived behind the scenes footage. He manages to capture their moments of anxiety, hope, disappointment and triumph on film. The cinematography is impressive and it's a real insight into the intense world of coffee competition.
The series of 12 10 minute episodes is available online for £7.99 and will also be screened at the marvellous Prufrock Coffee on Wednesday 16th November from 7pm.
