The World AeroPress Championships: Philipp Henauer

Why did you choose to enter the AeroPress Championship?

It is a fun Competition and great get together here in Switzerland!

What’s your favourite way to make coffee (other than AeroPress of course!)?

We have a great academy with lots of tools and machines, any of them are fun to use.

What led you to using the AeroPress?

It’s a fun tool if you are on travels and therefore is very useful. We also run brewing classes where we use it.

Which grinder will you use for the competition and why?

EK43, since it is the official grinder provided. It gives me a very constant, good result. 

How did you get in to the coffee industry?

We run a family business, so I grew up with coffee. 

What are you most excited about in coffee?

The size and number of topics in the industry, there is always something to talk about. Furthermore, the diversity of the product itself is huge, there are so many nice coffees and farmers out there!
