Craft Coffee House

Where: Brighton, Sussex

Who: Tom Osborne

Since when: 2015

Why: We chose this roaster due to their commitment to transparency. One of Craft House Coffee’s main goals is to make sure their customers are never left in the dark. They are all about involving you in understanding the culture which makes you love the product even more. Each and every coffee batch is tested using the power of technology to ensure the level on quality is uncompromised and consistency stays the same.

What's the story: It all began with an obsession to make the perfect brew. Spending many years working away in an old converted pig shed, Craft House Coffee’s founder, Tom, learnt more about the craft of roasting coffee though trial and error. After bringing the team together they were all curious to know what gives the coffee its characteristics? They concluded that it’s important to think, not just how, but what actually makes the perfect coffee. This obsession is what set them on the mission to better understand the coffee industry, Thus Craft House Coffee was born.

On of Craft House’s most popular coffees; they purchase this direct from Melky Chavez on his family-run farm. This coffee is sweet and well balanced with tasting notes of berries, jam and molasses.
